Hello eRA Commons Users,
You may be experiencing some issues logging into the eRA Commons. All you need to do is click the ‘Forgot Password’ link on the login screen and reset your password.
The NIH recently deployed an internal security update to the system which inadvertently ‘expired’ user’s passwords prematurely. Please see the email below from NIH for details.
Please pass this along to your PIs who use the eRA Commons.
Please contact the ERA Team at era@research.uci.edu if you continue to have log in issues.
Thanks!

eRA Information: Issues Concerning Logging into eRA Commons and ASSIST
We’ve received some inquiries regarding problems logging into eRA Commons and ASSIST. In nearly all cases, the issues have centered on expired passwords. Our NIH eRA password policy requires passwords to be reset every 120 days. A recent security update forced a subset of our users to need to update their passwords outside of the normal 120 day timeframe.
If you or anyone at your organization is experiencing issues logging into eRA Commons or ASSIST, follow the online help for resetting passwordsor review the Having Trouble Logging in to eRA Commons? troubleshooting document. Since some browser settings retain entered information, it is also advisable to clear your cache.
If you are still unable to access eRA Commons or ASSIST after following these recommendations, please contact the eRA Service Desk for assistance.
