UCI Resources for Research:
An Updated Form

Effective May 1st,HRP will release an updated form for Non-UCI students, faculty or staff conducting human research at UCI. When this form is presented to a department or research unit (center/institute), it should be reviewed and approved (if appropriate). The department/research unit should also maintain the form to document its approval. The UCI IRB no longer reviews or maintains this form.
Please remember that prospective UCI IRB approval is required if UCI faculty, staff or students will engage in research conducted or led by non-UCI students, faculty or staff. Contact the UCI IRB staffwith any questions regarding what constitutes engagement in human research.
