UCI Human Research Protections Training Course
REMINDER: Wednesday, February 15th is the deadline to complete a CITI
Refresher course for individuals who completed the Human Research
Tutorial more than five years ago!
* Effective February 15, 2012, individuals who completed the
Human Research Tutorial more than five years ago are required to
complete either the CITI Refresher course for Biomedical Investigators
or the Refresher course for Social & Behavioral Investigators.
* How do I know if I need to complete a CITI Refresher course?
Go to our Verification page @
http://apps.research.uci.edu/tutorialcheck/
http://apps.research.uci.edu/tutorialcheck/ and enter your name. It
will list the date you completed the Human Research Tutorial. If you
completed the tutorial over five years ago you are required to complete
a CITI Refresher course.
* How do I confirm that UCI has received notification that I
completed a CITI course? If you completed a CITI course using your
UCInetID and/or your UCI email address you can go to the Verification
page @ http://apps.research.uci.edu/tutorialcheck/
http://apps.research.uci.edu/tutorialcheck/ to confirm we have
received notification of completion. It takes up to 24 hours for UCI to
receive notification from CITI. If you did not use your UCInetID or your
UCI email address when you enrolled in CITI you should go back to CITI
and update your personal information.
* What happens if I don’t complete a CITI course by the
deadline? Failure to complete a CITI Refresher course could delay
approval of IRB submissions.
