One Less Form at the Proposal Stage!

Starting March 24, 2016

Starting March 24, 2016, collection of the Form 700U for research contracts and grants will be required at the award stage.  At the time of award, PIs and Co-PIs will receive an email prompting them to complete the Form 700U and the COI Addendum (if a PI or Co-PI has a disclosable financial interest). The exception to this new procedure is industry sponsored research including clinical trials. For these projects, the Form 700U and COI Addendum (if necessary) should continue to be uploaded into Kuali Coeus.

The State of California still requires us to collect the original Form 700U for all non-governmental sponsored research projects.  Please also send the original Form 700U via intercampus mail to the Office of Research (Zot Code 7600).

By eliminating the need to complete and submit this form at the proposal stage, our researchers and their support staff may focus more of their attention and efforts on the time-sensitive activity of preparing and submitting proposals.

Questions?  Visit the Non-governmental Sponsor webpage or contact Amy Green, COI Analyst, at acgreen1@uci.edu or Nadia Wong, COI Administrator, at nadiaw@uci.edu.
