NSF-Supported Conferences, Workshops, and Symposia

Dear Colleagues,

The National Science Foundation (NSF) Proposal Award Policy and Procedure Guide (PAPPG), effective February 25, 2019, requires applicants requesting NSF funds for the purpose of carrying out a conference, symposia, or workshop, to have a policy or code of conduct in place that addresses sexual harassment, other forms of harassment, and sexual assault, and that includes clear and accessible means of reporting violations of the policy or code of conduct. Further, this policy or code of conduct must be disseminated to the participants prior to their attendance, as well as, at the conference, symposia, or workshop.

Here’s a link to our webpage where you will find further information and a template to disseminate this policy to the attendees of your event: https://research.uci.edu/sponsored-projects/contracts-grants-admin/post-award-admin/nsf-supported-events.html

If you have any questions regarding this requirement, please contact your Contract and Grant Officer: https://research.uci.edu/sponsored-projects/about/staff-dept-assignment.html

Thank you,

Paul
