Notice of Pilot Processes for Submitting of Post-Award Relinquishing
Statements to NIH
Important Points: NIH announces the availability of a pilot process for
electronic submission of the Official Statement Relinquishing Interests
and Rights in a Public Health Service Research Grant.
Under the pilot system, the original institution will be able to submit
a relinquishing statement through the Change of Institution module in
the eRA Commons. Then the “new” institution will be able to view this
relinquishing statement through the same module.
The relinquishing statement may be submitted electronically even if the
corresponding application is submitted on paper.

Applications to NIH
Important Points: NIH now announces the availability of a pilot process
for electronic submission of post-award Change of Grantee Organization
All electronic requests must be submitted through the parent FOA for
Change of Grantee Organization Applications published in Grants.gov.
Applicants choosing this method will need to complete a full Change of
Grantee Organization application package, using the SF424 (R&R) forms
available on Grants.gov as detailed in the parent FOA.
The pilot is only available for post-award Change of Grantee
Organization applications for activity codes currently submitted
electronically through Grants.gov. Additionally, Change of Grantee
Organization requests for applications pending review and for
applications pending award are not included in the pilot.
All applicants are encouraged to discuss potential requests prior to
submission of a Relinquishing Statement or a Change in Grantee
