NIH Guide Notice Updates

Below are summaries of a recent NIH Guide notices. Please review the notices and forward it to faculty, researchers and staff, as appropriate. Questions regarding these notices should be directed to your Contract and Grant Officer.

National Institutes of Health
The Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2022 (Public Law 117-103), signed into law on March 15, 2022, provides funding to NIH for the Fiscal Year ending September 30, 2022. The intent of this notice is to provide current requirements outlined in the following statutory provision that limits or conditions the use of funds on NIH grant, cooperative agreement, and contract awards for FY 2022. Please see the notice for additional information.


This Notice corrects previously provided annual stipend amounts for NRSA Fellows that were outlined in NOT-OD-22-108 issued on April 15, 2022. Please see the notice for the updated stipend amounts and additional information.
The purpose of this Notice is to extend the guidance provided earlier (NOT-OD-22-046) for applicants preparing applications for the January 2023 Council round, beginning with the May 25, 2022 due date. NIH grant applications should NOT include contingency or recovery plans for problems resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. However, applicants may address effects due to the pandemic on productivity or other scoreable issues in their Personal Statement in the NIH Biosketch. Please see the notice for additional information.
