eRA Alert: Intermittent Issues Viewing eApplication Image in NIH eRA Commons

We have confirmed that some applicants who have submitted their grant applications through Grants.gov to NIH are unable to view the resulting assembled application image in eRA Commons.

Scenario:

  • Applicant finds their submission in eRA Commons. The submission shows an Application ID (e.g. AN1234567).

  • Applicant follows Application ID link to the detailed status screen. No application documents (e.g., e-Application, Appendix, eSubmission Cover Letter) are available in the Other Relevant Documents section of the detailed Status Information screen.

If you encounter this situation, please contact the eRA Commons Help Desk immediately. Applicants that follow our Guidelines for Applicants Experiencing System Issues will not be penalized for confirmed system issues. Given that today is a standing due date for small business applications, you may want to take advantage of our web ticketing system.
