NIH Systems Unavailable April 17 – April 20 for system migration (eRA Commons, ASSIST, etc.)

Dear Colleagues,

This is a reminder that NIH’s eRA Modules will be unavailable beginning tomorrow Friday, 4/17 at 5AM through Monday, 4/20 at 5PM.

Any affected due dates are covered under NIH’s late application policy due to COVID-19, which allows all late applications submitted late for due dates between March 9, 2020, and May 1, 2020, to be accepted through May 1, 2020 (See Guide Notice NOT-OD-20-091).

Please be sure to save your work and log out of the system before the downtime. Contact the ERA Team (era@research.uci.edu) if you have any questions.

This message is a final reminder that eRA will migrate its modules and data to the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud from 5 a.m. PST on Friday, April 17 to 5 p.m. PST on Monday, April 20. (See Guide Notice NOT-OD-20-096).

 

The affected systems are all eRA modules (eRA Commons, ASSIST, IAR, iEdison, RePorter, etc.) and all eRA informational websites (era.nih.gov, etc.).

Any affected due dates are covered under NIH’s late application policy due to COVID-19, which allows all late applications submitted late for due dates between March 9, 2020, and May 1, 2020, to be accepted through May 1, 2020 (See Guide Notice NOT-OD-20-091).

Grants.gov will continue processing applications during the migration window.  Applications received via Grants.gov will be put in a queue, and eRA will process them on Monday night, April 20.The standard 2-day viewing window for successfully submitted applications will be applied.

For NIH RePORTER, please make sure to gather any information needed ahead of time. Any questions or concerns can be directed to . During this window, basic public data on NIH awards will be available at NIH Awards by Location and Organization.

This message is to remind you that eRA is planning to migrate its modules and data to the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud from 8 a.m. ET on Friday, April 17 to 8 p.m. ET on Monday, April 20. (See Guide Notice NOT-OD-20-096).

The affected systems are all eRA modules (eRA Commons, ASSIST, IAR, iEdison, etc.) and all eRA informational websites (era.nih.gov, etc.).

Note that eRA will be closely monitoring the availability of staff needed to do the migration and will send confirmation of its plans as the week progresses.
