The Cayuse Support team has received a few reports of Cayuse 424 proposals for DE-FOA-0001664 being rejected due to an outdated opportunity package. This opportunity is due today, December 8, 2017. The Department of Energy updated the opportunity package for this proposal yesterday. For any institutions submitting today, it is important to confirm that you are using the most current version of the opportunity package. Read on for instructions to quickly and easily correct this problem.

First, verify whether your proposal is using an outdated package. If it was created prior to today, it is definitely outdated. If you are not sure, navigate to your Proposals List in Cayuse 424 and look for the red “No” icon next to the name of your proposal (We also recently heard from a customer who called this the “Ghostbusters” icon). It looks like this:

If you do not see that symbol, the package is current and your proposal is safe to submit as soon as it is complete.

If you do have an outdated opportunity package, there is a quick fix! Because Cayuse automatically checks for changes and downloads the most current opportunity package every day, the package is already available for use. All you need to do is Transform your proposal to the current opportunity package. The Transform process takes all your existing data and applies it to a new package. Once you have done that, the new proposal can be submitted as soon as it is ready.
