As you are likely aware, we are currently experiencing a significant challenge with the KR Protocols system, particularly in the Attachments section. ERA, in collaboration with Kuali, is dedicated to resolving this issue promptly. While we await a permanent solution, we’d like to offer some temporary workarounds to facilitate your document uploading process.
- Resolving Attachments Failure:
- Uploading Caution: While uploading a document, it’s crucial to remain on the page until the “uploading” message disappears and a “Save Complete” notification is displayed. Premature navigation away from the page may lead to an unsuccessful upload, as evidenced by an error message (see the screenshot below).
- Repeated Upload Failures Despite Validation Clearances
- In scenarios where repeated uploads fail:
- Initially, opt for the ‘Replace’ option for the affected attachment.
- In scenarios where repeated uploads fail:

- Reattempt the upload with either the identical file or a new one if necessary.
- Confirm the success of this action by clicking on the attachment.

- Alternate Uploading Method via Admin Notes & Files:
In the interim period before the official resolution is deployed, we encourage utilizing the Admin Notes & Files section for uploading documents that fail in the standard process. Additionally, please make a point to report such issues to ERA via email, assisting us in tracking and addressing these concerns more effectively.
