Important Update: Workarounds for KR Protocols Attachments Issue

As you are likely aware, we are currently experiencing a significant challenge with the KR Protocols system, particularly in the Attachments section. ERA, in collaboration with Kuali, is dedicated to resolving this issue promptly. While we await a permanent solution, we’d like to offer some temporary workarounds to facilitate your document uploading process.

  1. Resolving Attachments Failure:
    1. Uploading Caution: While uploading a document, it’s crucial to remain on the page until the “uploading” message disappears and a “Save Complete” notification is displayed. Premature navigation away from the page may lead to an unsuccessful upload, as evidenced by an error message (see the screenshot below).

  1. Repeated Upload Failures Despite Validation Clearances
    1. In scenarios where repeated uploads fail:
      • Initially, opt for the ‘Replace’ option for the affected attachment.

      • Reattempt the upload with either the identical file or a new one if necessary.
      • Confirm the success of this action by clicking on the attachment.
    1. If this method does not resolve the issue, please escalate the problem to ERA Support for further assistance!
  1. Alternate Uploading Method via Admin Notes & Files:

In the interim period before the official resolution is deployed, we encourage utilizing the Admin Notes & Files section for uploading documents that fail in the standard process. Additionally, please make a point to report such issues to ERA via email, assisting us in tracking and addressing these concerns more effectively.

We sincerely hope these guidelines assist in alleviating some of the frustrations encountered recently. Your understanding and cooperation in this matter are greatly valued. Should you have any further queries or require additional clarification, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Thank you for your patience and continued support.
