Follow-up and complete your Action Lists for active proposals in KC [Action List: In Progress, Enroute, Revisions Requested]

Dear Colleagues,

The upgrade from Kuali Coeus (KC) to Kuali Research (KR) is just around the corner!

As of 5PM on Monday, July 9, KC will no longer be available. The official go-live for KR is Tuesday, July 10. Note that this transition period does not affect other proposal development systems such as Cayuse 424, Grants.gov, NSF Fastlane, etc.

Because KR is not “backwards compatible”, users must take action on all active documents (In progress, Enroute, Revisions Requested) in KC prior to the upgrade. Otherwise, on July 10^th, users may run into validation errors upon attempting to edit or approve active proposal documents.

There are three potential places an active proposal document could be:

•Saved

–As part of the upgrade process, these will be automatically cancelled

•After the upgrade, users will still be able to access and copy Saved documents

•Enroute, NOT with SPA

–PI, Chair, Dean, Initial Unit Review, ORU Approval, MSO Approval, School Reviewer nodes

•ERA is running reports and will contact users to take one of the following actions:

–Return to Initiator (to revert to In Progress and automatically cancel), or

–Approve swiftly so that SPA can finalize

–Enroute: Returned for Revisions

•ERA is running reports and will contact users to take one of the following actions:

–Make revisions and return to SPA ASAP, or

–ERA will pull back so SPA can finalize

•Enroute, in SPA’s node

–ERA will work with SPA to finalize ASAP

After the upgrade, users will still be able to find and copy proposals that were created in KC.

Please take time over the next couple of days to clear out your Action List and follow up on proposals that are Enroute.
