KR Federal Disclosure and Certification

This communication is directed towards federally funded researchers and their support staff:

As a federally funded researcher, you are required to complete the KR Federal Disclosure and Certification (“Certification”) at least annually. This brief electronic form with three yes/no questions satisfies the federal requirements to disclose significant financial interests and certify that you are not a party to a malign foreign talent recruitment program.

With certain award transactions, Contracts & Grants Officers (CGO) are required to confirm that the Certification is current for all listed personnel. If your Certification has expired, you may receive a reminder to update it before the CGO can continue processing that transaction.

Please note that the Certification questions apply broadly and not just the specific award referenced in the reminder. In other words, the significant financial interest related questions ask researchers whether they have ANY financial interests that meet or exceed the definition related to their academic field, not just the specific award.

Questions? Please contact Conflict of Interest with your inquiry or to schedule a brief one-on-one Zoom meeting with a COI Team member to address specific concerns.
