Updates to the NSF Proposal and Award Policies and Procedures Guide (PAPPG) (NSF 24-1) and Webinar Registration

Dear Colleagues,
The National Science Foundation (NSF) has issued the updated Proposal and Awards Policies and Procedures(PAPPG) guide for FY 24. The PAPPG is effective May 20, 2024.  The changes can be found at this link: Summary of Changes

The notable changes in the PAPPG are as follows:
  • Prohibition on participation in a Malign Foreign Talent Recruitment Program and corresponding certifications by the institution and the individual
  • Prior approval of Tribal Nations for proposals that may impact tribal resources or interests
  • Implementation of biographical sketch common form developed by the National Science and Technology Council’s Research Security Subcommittee
  • Senior/key personnel terminology changing to senior/key persons

NSF will hold a webinar to review the changes to the PAPPG. The webinar will be held on March 12th at 11am PST. The invitation to the webinar is set forth below. I encourage everyone to sign up for the webinar and to forward the invitation to faculty, researchers, and others that may be interested.

Questions regarding the changes to the PAPPG should be directed to your Contract and Grant Officer.
Best,
Nancy
