Dear Colleagues:
I am writing to provide additional information regarding proposals for the 2014 UC MPRI RFP that are to be submitted to UCOP via Proposal Central on or before noon PST (12:00pm), Thursday, August 7th.
UC MPRI proposals should not be submitted to Sponsored Projects for institutional review and approval. Since the funding is awarded to and administered by the campus department that submits the proposal and the funding is internal to UC, institutional review is not required.
The application package for these proposals in Proposals Central requires that an Institutional Official and a Fiscal Officer be selected and UCOP requires that the Institutional Official sign the cover page. In order to satisfy these requirements, please instruct PI’s who are submitting MPRI proposals to do the following:
1) Select “Nancy Lewis” as the Institutional Official in Proposals Central
2) Select “Joanne Menda” as the Fiscal Officer in Proposals Central
3) Submit cover pages to Nancy Lewis for signature no later than Monday, August 4th at 5:00 PST
