Research Management System (RMS) Update

Announcing RMS 3.0 Launch on June 12!

Dear Researchers,

Next Friday, June 12 @6:00pm, the Office of Research will release the Research Management System (RMS) 3.0 Upgrade. This upgrade is part of ongoing efforts to modernize UCI’s research support and compliance systems and reduce administrative burden. Some highlights include:

  • All new redesigned user interface (UI) with a much improved layout of features and modules
  • Easier navigation and accessibility in the RMS Modules (IACUC Protocols & Animal Ordering)
  • New always visible countdown timer for expiring sessions

To perform the upgrade, RMS will be unavailable on June 12 from 6:00pm-11:00pm.

  • Animal Orders must be placed by 5:00pm, and should be in either “Save as Draft” or “Submit to Buyer” status.
  • Please save all work and log out.

After the upgrade, the updated RMS 3.0 user guide will be available to help users with the transition to RMS 3.0. See the user guide for instructions, tips, and FAQs.
