Dear Colleagues:
As you may be aware, the revised NIH Grants Policy Statement (NIHGPS)
revision, dated 10/01/2011, represents an update to the 2010 version and
is applicable to all NIH grants and cooperative agreements beginning on
or after October 1, 2011.
While the update does not introduce any new material, it incorporates
new and modified requirements, clarifies certain policies, and
implements changes in statutes, regulations, and policies that have been
applied through appropriate legal and/or policy processes since the
previous version of the NIHGPS. The 2011 revision supersedes, in its
entirety, the NIHGPS from 10/01/2010 as a standard term and condition of
the award.
Sponsored Projects has compiled a list of the Top Ten Significant
Changes to the Revised NIHGPS for your information (attached). We will
also be presenting these changes and answering questions at the November
21 QRAM at the UCI Student Center. Should you have any questions,
