NOT-IC-AT-005 – NCCIH Policy for Submission of R15 Applications Containing Clinical Trials

The purpose of this Notice is to define the types of clinical studies that NCCIH will support through PA-13-313 "Academic Research Enhancement Award (Parent R15)" and subsequent reissuances of this Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA). After May 7, 2015, NCCIH will not accept R15 applications which include clinical trials to Parent R15 FOA. This policy does not apply to other NCCIH-specific announcements that specifically solicit clinical trials.

NIH Clinical Trial Definition:
A research study in which one or more human subjects are prospectively assigned to one or more interventions (which may include placebo or other control) to evaluate the effects of those interventions on health-related biomedical or behavioral outcomes. NOT-HL-15-256 – Notice of Change to Award Information Regarding Allowable Requested Direct Costs in PAR-13-316 "NHLBI Program Project Applications (P01)"

This Notice provides updated information regarding allowable requested direct costs in PAR-13-316 "NHLBI Program Project Applications (P01)". NHLBI guidelines for Allowable Requested Direct Costs for Program Project Grants (P01s) have been revised to clarify that renewal (Type 2) P01 applications may request up to the direct cost (excluding first-tier subcontract Facilities and Administrative [F&A] costs) awarded for the last noncompetitive segment.
