Dear Colleagues,
The indirect cost rate for state-funded projects at UC campuses will not escalate as previously anticipated on July 1, 2021. That is, the IDC rate for California State-funded projects will remain static at 30% MTDC through June 30, 2022 or until otherwise directed by the CFO. Information related to applying for California State-funded projects can be found at SPA State of California Guidance website.
Please note that:
·The above referenced “state rate” does not apply to federally funded projects where UC is a subrecipient of a state pass through entity.
·The above referenced “state rate” does not apply to other (non-California) state sponsors.
·Exception requests for (non-federal) state-funded projects may still be requested.
