As you may be aware, UC President Michael V. Drake has provided an important update regarding federal research funding in response to recent Executive Orders. You can review the full message here: UC President Michael V. Drake’s Message on Federal Funding Freeze.
To align with this update, Contracts and Grants Accounting will conduct a cash draw to Federal grants based on the ledger as of January 31, 2025, ahead of the federal funding freeze date of February 3, 2025. To ensure all expenses are captured, we kindly request that all Accounts Payable (AP) documents be finalized by January 30, 2025 in KFS.
Your prompt attention to this deadline will help minimize the impact of the funding freeze on sponsored projects. Please work closely with your departments to review and process any outstanding transactions in a timely manner.
