Dear Colleagues:
The University of California (UC) will increase the indirect cost rate for projects funded by State of California agencies at UC campuses from the current 35% MTDC to 40% MTDC for FY 2026–27 and beyond. This increase is scheduled to take effect on July 1, 2026.
The UC Irvine indirect cost rate table has been updated to reflect the implementation of this increased rate: https://research.uci.edu/sponsored-projects/facilities-and-administrative-cost-rates/.
