ZOT IRB Updates: PI Proxy, Manage Guest List and Research Team Table

Please review the following when navigating members of the research team and their access to the protocol in ZOT IRB.
Principal Investigator (PI) Proxy:
The PI Proxy allows the PI to assign member/s of the study team the ability to submit (on their behalf) a new study or submit responses to both Human Research Protections (HRP) colleagues and the IRB.
The PI Proxy is assigned per study, and needs to be initiated by the PI. Note that individuals must be active members of the study team to be eligible to be assigned as the PI Proxy.
Manage Guest List:
The Guest List can be updated by the PI, and/ or a member of the study team. This feature provides the ability to allow individuals view only access to the protocol. These individuals may be part of the research team but may not need to be formally listed as a member of the study team. Consider use of the UCI Research Team Tracking Log to track these individuals, in accordance with the Research Team Table.
Research Team Table:
The Research Team Table was previously known as the “Heat Map.” Use this latest version to determine who needs to be listed in ZOT IRB as a member of the study team and who can be maintained via a UCI Research Team Tracking Log.
