Dear Colleagues,
Kuali Research (KR) will be down tonight from 7PM thru 8PM for the monthly deploy.
We would like to highlight some important updates to KR with this deploy in regard to Research Security Training and DURC (Dual Use Research of Concern):
- New Research Security Training
- For proposals with a Federal Sponsor OR a Federal Prime Sponsor:
- On the personnel tab, there will be a new indicator on whether your Key Personnel have completed the required “Research Security at the University of California” course in UCLC
- The status will show Complete, Incomplete/Expired; OR for non-Federal proposals, the status will be Not Applicable.
- If the Key Personnel have not completed the required training, please ask they log in to UCLC and complete the training.
- New DURC (Dual Use Research of Concern) Questions
- There are new/revised questions on the Compliance tab related to DURC

Please save your work and exit out of the systems prior to the downtime.
