KC Proposals – Revisions Requested

Hello again KC Users,

A common question that we’ve already received multiple times since sending out this message yesterday is:

“I have proposals pending my revisions, but I’m waiting on …XYZ…should I send it back anyway?”

The answer is YES. Please just send the proposals back to SPA – we will follow up with you at a later time to address missing or incorrect data elements or attachments.

Dear KC Users,

The eRA team is in the beginning stages of the Research Administration Data Warehouse project. In the next couple of weeks, we will be updating the programming to move KC proposals into our internal database once they are submitted to the sponsor.

What does this mean?

The Sponsored Projects ad hoc query in the current data warehouse will include all proposals that are submitted to the sponsor. If you are regularly running your department’s proposal numbers by piecing together data from both data warehouse *and* KC, you will no longer need to do that.

Before we make the change, we need all KC proposals that are in the state “Revisions Requested” to be routed back to SPA.

What can you do to help?

Check your KC Action List today! If you have a proposal pending your revision, route it back to SPA at your earliest convenience.
