| Dear Colleagues,
UC Irvine’s Provost, Vice Chancellor for Research (VCR), and Vice Chancellor for Health Affairs (VCHA), together with the Executive Director of the Institute for Innovation, are pleased to invite UC Irvine faculty to submit applications to the Research Seed Funding Program and Technology Development Innovation Fund. Up to $1.75M will be made available through these programs, to fund efforts aimed at increasing the likelihood of success of extramural research or center proposals from Federal, state and other sponsors, or to support projects that show promise for commercialization. Awards will be available within three tracks: Track 1 Single and Multi-Investigator Research Projects, Track 2 Research Center Proposal Development, and Track 3 Technology Development Innovation Fund. Tracks 1 and 2 will have TWO deadlines in FY ‘16: Nov. 18, 2015 and Mar. 16, 2016. Track 3 will have a single FY ’16 deadline: Nov. 18, 2015.
