eRA Enhancement: Check Out the ALL NEW eRA Commons Online Help From Screens

We are pleased to let you know that a brand new eRA Commons Online Help is now available from the eRA Commons screens. No need to reach for that bulky user guide. Simply click on the question marks on any Commons screen and you will be taken to the new help for that particular topic (see example of Status – General Search screen below).

This searchable, easy to use online help includes general information, step-by-step instruction, and screenshots to help you navigate and work with the system. Certain topics contain links to guide notices and policy information or to related user guides (where applicable).
The first topic titled About the Help System offers a useful reference explaining the features found in the online help, including navigation, links, search bar, and hidden/displayed images. It is worth noting that you can access the entire help system for eRA Commons from this link. You do not need to be logged into Commons to access the information.
Hand in hand with the creation of the Commons Online Help is a new version of the eRA Commons User Guide in PDF format. You can access the updated guide, as well as individual guides to Commons modules, at the following site: http://era.nih.gov/commons/user_guide.cfm.
