*Cayuse 424* Downtime Tuesday, 8/28 from 5PM-10PM

Dear Cayuse Users,

Cayuse will be performing system maintenance on Tuesday which will affect NSF applications moving forward. The Research.gov system-to-system submission service will be turned off – meaning the Research.gov version of any NSF Opportunity will no longer work.

If you choose to use Cayuse for your NSF applications, submissions using the Grants.gov version of the opportunity will continue to work. As usual, NSF Fastlane/Research.gov is also available for NSF applications.

Please see below for details regarding this change. System downtime will be Tuesday night, 8/28 from 5PM-10PM. Please save your work and close out of Cayuse prior to the downtime.

If you have any questions, contact the ERA Team as era@research.uci.edu.

Greetings Cayuse User Community,

NSF is decommissioning Research.gov S2S, its system-to-system proposal submission service. Accordingly, Cayuse will no longer offer the option to submit research proposals to NSF via Research.gov. Cayuse can still be used to submit NSF proposals through Grants.gov as usual.

In order for Cayuse to “turn off” support for Research.gov, we will need to perform maintenance.  This maintenance is scheduled for the evening of Tuesday, August 28th.

When: August 28, 2018 from 5:00PM PT to 10:00PM PT (8PM ET – 1AM ET)

During the maintenance window, you will be periodically unable to log in to the Research Suite (including Cayuse 424, SP, and IRB). Please note, even if you are able to log in, we strongly advise against attempting to enter data during the maintenance window. This maintenance does not affect Cayuse IACUC and that application will be available as usual.

What you need to do
Any unsubmitted proposals created using a Research.gov opportunity will appear on the Proposals tab with our standard red circle/slash icon and instructions to transform to an available opportunity. These proposals can be transformed to the corresponding Grants.gov opportunity and then completed and submitted as usual. If you do not see any proposals with the red circle/slash icon, you do not need to take any action.
